Using classroom monitors.

As a teacher, I can create good classroom control and discipline by making good use of student monitors.

A monitor is a student who can help the teacher with small but important jobs of classroom management.

Such jobs include:

• Taking the register by telling me (the teacher) who is absent .
• Giving out and collecting homework.
• Opening and closing the windows.
• Changing the class calendar date.
• Helping the teacher with heavy loads.

 It is a good idea to change the monitors regularly to give every one a chance.                                       

Achieving silence in the classroom

There are times when I want my class to be silent, but students do not have to be silent all the times. It is important for discipline and and for learning that I can achieve and maintain silence quickly and easily when I want it. For example, it can be disturbing for some students to think and work while others are talking. It is hard to concentrate. 

It is my role as a teacher to develop and practice effective ways to maintain silence in the classroom.

I can use various ways:

• Standing quietly with my arm held up.
• Tapping the board with a pencil for about ten seconds.
• Being silent my self. 

  Students will recognize these signs as I practice them during the perihod.

How can I set up my classroom rules?

Classroom rules help to establish and maintain good discipline. These classroom rules are in addition to school rules. As a teacher, I can discuss and agree class rules for behavior that is acceptable in  classroom.

I can put these rules on the wall as a reminder for every one. I have to take time to make sure that every one understands and knows that they have  to keep them. 

Students who do not keep these rules will be punished.

It is a good idea to have different levels of discipline, starting with a warning and then using appropriate punishment.

One way of punishment is to remove student's privileges.

Educational Technology

Educational Technology is a very beneficial cource. it enriches us as teachers with new strategies and ways to be employed in teaching and preparing lessons.

The intructor acts as a good facilitator. She makes topics much easier.

for example power point is a very affective application, it makes preparing and presenting lessons more enjoyable.

Drive is another application that plays a big role in saving data on google. information  will be kept safely on google. drive is better than using a flash or a dosc to save something especially pictures. you may lose them.
